Sitting Pretty
One of my favourite annual events is the Illuminated Abbey event at Whitby. Not just because it means a visit or two to my favourite place that is Whitby but also because it is becoming more and more of a challenge for me to capture new compositions year on year still incorporating the Abbey lit up in its various colours upon the top of the cliff. This photo was actually intended as a test shot and I returned a few days later to try do this composition justice only to find I’d done a good job first time round and preferred it over my second attempt. On the plus side it meant I could move on and try find some other compositions from the 2025 event.
