Blooming Beacon

An early morning sunrise spent at Danby Beacon is never a waste of an early alarm however in this case a slightly later alarm would have sufficed. Hoping for some nice pink pre-sunrise colour to match the heather we headed for the beacon optimistically. Upon arrival however the cloud had snuffed out the sunrise. Thankfully after a while chatting to a fellow photographer who’d gone with the same hope in mind the cloud subsided a little allowing some beautiful golden light to cast on the beacon and trig point in the shot.
