North York Moors

Misty Monochrome Morning

The rare sight that is a temperature inversion near Roseberry Topping. I’ve only even seen three and this was my first time witnessing it. The photo was taken from near Roseberry Topping looking towards Gribdale and Captain Cook’s Monument which if you look closely you can see the silhouette of in the top left hand corner of the image. The amazing low sitting clouds adding depth to the image with some of the treetops at lower ground just poking out of them.

Location = Captain Cooks Monument
