Owld Meg

A hidden gem of a waterfall that unfortunately is no longer the same to visit as it once was. Listed by Teesside Live in a list of hidden gems it grew in popularity causing it no longer to be hidden and the damage done by visitors meant the lovely waterfall was ruined by careless people littering around it. As a result the landowner decided to fence the way down to the falls off in order to protect the beauty of the area and the wildlife in it and as much as you can still see the falls from higher ground it’s a shame not to be able to get a closer look.
