Purple Rain
Sunset spent up on the moors with Andrew, a lone tree, a carpet of heather and thousands of midges. Having never visited this location before we were worried that we may struggle to find it however we hoped that a lone tree shouldn’t be too hard to find. It actually turned out to be really easy, as we climbed out of the village up onto the open moorland it really did stand out like a sore thumb perched along atop the carpet of purple on the remote moor. We scouted around looking for compositions trying not to stand still for too long in fear of getting devoured by the resident midges while waiting for the sun to dip below the bank of cloud on the horizon. We hoped it doing so would spread some colour and light the sky up in beautiful pinks and our prayers were answered as some colour was provided as we snapped away before heading home away from the hungry locals that had been plaguing us.
