Roses Are Red
The day before valentines day and me and Andrew headed to York for the night. Having got the train down in the rain we went and had a meal followed by a drink in the pub waiting for the rain to subside. As forecasted it did stop once the sun set and darkness fell allowing us to capture the wet cobbles of the shambles reflecting the street and shop lights. Looking along the shambles the W Hamond jet shop stood out with their beautifully decorated storefront covered in roses in the run up to Valentine’s day. While waiting for a gap in the passers-by unfortunately they were liberated of some of their roses by a group of kids who obviously decided they were free to help themselves. Nevertheless a couple of missing roses didn’t make the street any less photogenic with the beautiful local shops looking stunning underneath the street lights.
