Gorsegous
May up on Roseberry Topping sees photographers from all over the area visiting to capture the beautiful display of bluebells and while that was where we were heading this year’s bright yellow flowers of the gorse bushes were spectacular so we had to stop. I decided that the gorse would make a lovely yellow natural frame for Roseberry Topping in the background shooting through the flowers so they were blurry and therefore not too distracting using them for their colour as well as adding depth to the shot. While it was the bluebells we came for it was the gorse that produced my favourite shot of the evening as I preferred my previous year’s attempts at the bluebells than what I got on this visit.
