Path Through The Purple
Having grown up living in the North Yorkshire Moors I’ve always had a soft spot for heather season. The moorlands coming to life with swathes of purples and pinks as the Bell and Ling heathers come to life in August allowing for long summer days walking through the purple paths. This location is normally one of the earlier flowering locations with a mix of the two heather varieties and sometimes it sneaking up on you and been past its best before visiting. Sometimes however like in this image the contrast between the purples and browns can create beautiful depth and contrast to add a splash of colour to an already beautiful scene.
