09 – March 2026
It finally feels like 2026 has got going from a personal photography point of view. We’ve had our first trip of the year with a long weekend away at Whitley Bay and at only £99 for 3 nights in a caravan it would have been rude not to. It was a great opportunity for us to visit a few spots we’d not been to before without having to brave a few cold nights in the tent. We visited several places such as the Angel of The North, St Mary’s lighthouse, Amble, Blyth and even met some highland cows at Druridge Bay.
Not only have we been away we’ve had a few more local shoots with sunrises, sunsets, a chartered steam train and even a night capturing the northern lights down at. I’ve also managed to get some shots I’m happy with at some local locations where nice light has often eluded me but pleased to say I’ve got plenty more new stuff on the way and long may that continue now spring is here and my photography bug has well and truly come back with a bang.
While the photography is of course our favourite part there is always work going on behind the scenes including finalising some 2026 show bookings, planning trips, attacking our editing and although early we’ve even started thinking of what to put in our 2027 calendars. Add onto that the fact we are currently working on preparing some new photos for refreshing the website we’re certainly keeping busy.
Heading into April we haven’t got a huge amount planned, no trips booked yet although we are aiming to dust the tent off (weather permitting) and hopefully revisit one of our favourite campsites over in the Yorkshire Dales. I’m itching to get back over there and photograph some new places we’ve not yet been but also to get the wellies back on and go capture some waterfalls!
