Falling With Force
Autumn colours and a dramatic waterfall greeted us on this trip out with our cameras. Overnight rain meant that High Force was in full flow when we visited this Sunday morning as were all the other streams around it. Having parked at Bowlees we headed along the walk towards the waterfall only to find the public footpath saw us needing to cross the river without a bridge and the force of the water meant that wasn’t going to happen. We were looking at planning at alternate route when a kind farmer shouted us to go through his farmyard and walk along the road which was much appreciated as it save adding a large diversion to our walk and meant we could still be at High Force for it opening to try capture photos with less people around.
