Force of Nature

One of our repeat customers asked us if we’d ever photographed High Force. While the answer was yes we hadn’t any images we were overly pleased with and planned a return trip during autumn to try our best to capture this beautiful waterfall. I’ve always found it a tricky one to photograph as it normally has a huge volume of water going down and in the shade of the rocks can be difficult to capture. After several days without any rain we planned our visit for the coming Sunday only to arrive to find there had been heavy rain the night before which had topped the flow back up. Nevertheless I liked this wider view with the falls in the background as it is one of the first sightings of the magnificent falls you see as you walk towards it.
