Gap in my Heart
A collector’s item photograph that I will always treasure. It may not have the most amazing sky but its unfortunately not one I can go back to following the horrible felling of the tree that left a gap in my heart. Sadly I only got to visit here once as it was one of those locations that I always wanted to go and had never been until Andrew surprised me having booked us to stay nearby as an early Valentine’s Day present for a couple of nights so I could tick it off my photography bucket list. It was such a lovely location and we’d planned to keep an eye out for a potential Northern Lights event and try capture the tree underneath a dancing sky of aurora. Unfortunately this will have to do as I’m not sure I’d want to go back and see it without the tree there and I’m sure many others will feel the same.
