Churning
There may be several contenders but this is definitely up there for my favourite photos from our trips to Scotland and sits proudly on my office wall. For me it just sums Scotland up and having sat in our car eating our lunch in torrential rain and even then waiting it out for an extra 30 minutes it eventually subsided leaving us with some lovely low clouds hanging over the background mountains. It amazed me how we’d gone from torrential rain to beautifully still conditions in such a short space of time which even allowed us to capture some reflections of the beautiful, almost fairytale like castle. They always say that if you don’t like the weather then wait 5 minutes but I don’t think that’s as true in many places as it is in Scotland.
