The Stallion
This dramatic point on the west coast of the Isle of Skye is translated from Gaelic as the point of the horse. The highest rise in the point pictured here is therefore know as the stallion and trying to photograph this lighthouse at times felt like trying to tame a wild stallion believe me! Gale force winds were hitting us hard trying to blow both me and my camera gear over either onto the floor or over the cliff, it wasn’t fussy. Unfortunately the sunset didn’t produce much in the way of light or colour in the sky so I opted to focus instead on the weather and sea weathered rocks leading out to the lighthouse. Its certainly a location to revisit and hopefully explore further, just hopefully in less wind!
