Vast Vista

While I have a huge love for landscapes and appreciation for natural beauty there aren’t many that have taken my breath away but this place certainly did. The sheer scale of these mountains and the lack of civilisation is just phenomenal. As a landscape photographer this sort of vista is what you dream of. Unfortunately we underestimated the amount of time we needed to explore this place as well as I would have liked and it’s probably a good job Laura wasn’t up for going all the way to the viewpoint known as the needle at the end as even without we found ourselves powerwalking back in order to get back to the car before our parking ticket ran out and we risked a ticket. One thing is for sure, one day I’ll go back here but next time I’ll make sure I leave loads of time spare just to take it all in.
