Baaack in Black
So, this photo both was and wasn’t the plan. Before our first photo trip across to the lakes I’d said I’d love a photo of the Herdwick sheep up on a fell however high temperatures and low energy levels following months of working 15/16 hour days renovating our house had taken their toll so we opted to save the fells for another time. We aimed to head for Elterwater Quarry as we’d seen some lovely drone photos from there but en route as we came to Elterwater Common we instead stopped to photograph the Herdwicks that were roaming around. After a lot of observing and keeping our distance I spotted this solitary sheep out on its own so got a little closer and got low to the ground shooting through ferns to get the blurred foreground when it looked up from eating and posed for me.
