Ready For Take Off
Skomer Island was a bucket list place for me. Having always had a love for puffins and having seen them at Bempton Cliffs several times I’d heard Skomer Island was a must visit and how right all those people were! 4 and a half hours on the stunning island seemed like a lifetime but was also gone in a flash as they always say. Time flies when you’re having fun. Both me and Andrew headed over the island to The Wick and spent so much time observing these beautiful birds going about their business and trying to capture as many of their behaviours as we could. I’m pleased to say we both captured the mouthful of sand eels shot that we aimed for but to have captured so many others was simply unbelievable. This puffin even posed for me as it spread its wings and made sure I got its good side for this shot (even though it never actually flew off!)
