Now although they are a historical luxury experience steam trains used to be a huge part of the UK’s transport network transporting both goods and people from place to place. Coming from the region which had the first public railway to use steam in the Stockton and Darlington Railway and now has one of the most scenic heritage lines in the North Yorkshire Moors Railway we are lucky to be able to still see the effects and the remains of Steam Trains from years gone by. There is something about the noise and sights of a steam train hurtling along whether it be on a mainline excursion or along one of the UK’s many heritage lines.
